Spafinder Gift Card Programme

ARE THERE ANY SETUP FEES?
No, there is no cost to join the Spafinder program or create your listing.

You will only be charged a commission when a Spafinder/Spa Choice gift card is redeemed in your venue.
 
HOW DO I GET PAID?
For Spa Choice gift card redemptions, ie transactions processed through your PDQ terminal, you should receive the funds (minus the commission amount) in the same manner as you would any other debit/credit card transactions. 

For Spafinder gift card redemptions, you will receive payment to your nominated bank account on a weekly basis for the gift card redemptions minus the commission amount.

It will take about a week for your application to be assessed, after which you will be able to complete the online listing for your spa.  You’ll be able to upload information on your venue such as:

WHAT IS SPAFINDER?
Spafinder is a program that effectively connects people to spas and salons via gift cards that are distributed via retail, ecommerce, corporate and incentive and loyalty programs.
WHAT IS THE COMMISSION?
The commission is 20% (inc VAT) of the amount spent on a Spafinder/Spa Choice gift card.  The commission is not changed on any amount spent over and above the value of the gift card.
WHAT TYPES OF SPAFINDER PRODUCTS ARE THERE?
Spafinder/Spa Choice gift cards are physical plastic cards, just like a credit card.

Spafinder/Spa Choice egift cards are emailed to the recipient.  These can either be printed out or presented on a phone.  The details required for redemption will be included on the eGift card and these will need to be manually entered in order to redeem the eGift card.

WILL I RECEIVE AN INVOICE?
Yes, you will receive a weekly invoice and remittance statement which will list the gift cards that have been redeemed at your spa in the previous week and the amount which has been deposited into your account.
 

Redemption

HOW DO I CHECK THE BALANCE OF A SPAFINDER/SPA CHOICE GIFT CARD?
You can check the balance of a Spa Choice gift card by calling 0345 850 0402 or by visiting Spafinder.co.uk where you will be required to enter card details such as card number, CVV2, expiry month and expiry year.  Alternatively, you can contact us at partners@spafinder.co.uk.

HOW DO I REDEEM SPAFINDER/SPA CHOICE GIFT CARDS?
Cards/egift cards branded as Spafinder Wellness 365 are redeemed via an admin portal which you will be given access to after you have signed up.

Spa Choice gift cards can be redeemed just like a credit card through your PDQ terminals.  You will however need to make sure that you have compatible card reader.  Spa Choice gift cards cannot be redeemed via contactless terminals.

Spa Choice egift cards (either printed or shown on a mobile device) will need to be manually entered into your PDQ terminal.  You will need the card number (starting with 435349), the expiry date and the CVV2 number printed on the back of the card.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A CUSTOMER PRESENTS A 3RD PARTY EXPERIENCE CERTIFICATE?
We work with some 3rd party providers where experience certificates will be provided, but these then need to actually be redeemed for a Spafinder/Spa Choice gift card. 

Unfortunately, at times customers will bring these 3rd party experience certificates into your spa to redeem them.   Please advise the customer that they need to visit the 3rd party site and redeem their experience certificate following the correct claim process to receive an actual Spafinder/Spa Choice egift card. 

You will not be able to redeem the 3rd party experience certificate.

WHAT IF THE TRANSACTION DOES NOT GO THROUGH?
When redeeming a Spa Choice gift card, please always make sure that you are processing the gift card as you would a credit card transaction. 

When redeeming a Spafinder gift card, please make sure you are doing this via the admin portal online.

WHAT IF THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH FUNDS ON THE SPAFINDER/SPA CHOICE GIFT CARD?
Please always check the balance prior to processing the transaction to make sure the customer has enough funds on the card to complete their purchase and that the card is active.

If the customer does not have enough funds on the card to pay the full amount, you will need to process a split payment transaction, first taking the gift card as payment and then the balance by another payment type eg debit, credit or cash.
 
WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT DO I NEED TO REDEEM SPAFINDER/SPA CHOICE GIFT CARDS?
You will need a card reader with your PDQ terminal.  Contactless transactions are not available.
You will also need access to the internet to redeem via an admin portal.

Spafinder/Spa Choice Gift Cards

DO SPAFINDER/SPA CHOICE GIFT CARDS EXPIRE?
Yes, gift cards expire 12 months from the date of purchase.  After the expiry date the customer will not have access to the funds.

HOW DO SPA CHOICE GIFT CARDS WORK?
Spa Choice gift cards can be used multiple times until the balance reaches £0 or the card expires. 
HOW DO SPAFINDER GIFT CARDS WORK?
Spafinder gift cards are single use cards.  If the full value is not being redeemed in one transaction, you will need to provide a credit note/your own gift card for the balance, to the customer for future use at your spa.

General

CAN CUSTOMERS BOOK A TREATMENT THOUGH THE SPAFINDER WEBSITE?
No, customers will need to contact you direct to book a treatment.  If the customer mentions a Spafinder gift card, we recommend that you advise the customer to check the balance and the expiry date prior to arriving at the spa. 
CAN I STILL RUN MY OWN GIFT CARD PROGRAMME?
Yes.  The Spafinder gift card programme is totally independent of your own gift card programme. 
 
HOW DO I CONTACT THE SPAFINDER ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT TEAM?
The Spafinder Account Management team is available from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) via partners@spafinder.co.uk or on +44 0207 419 8222.
WHAT IF I WANT TO WITHDRAW FROM THE SPAFINDER GIFT CARD PROGRAMME?
You can withdraw from the programme at any time. 

Please ensure that you notify the Spafinder Account Management team via partners@spafinder.co.uk or on +44 0207 419 8222, from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) so that we can remove your listing from the website.
 
WHO DO I CONTACT IF THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH MY INVOICE?
